That report dove deep into local and national history, legal precedents, and different voting and governmental structures. The reality was that most people were not going to read the full report. They needed to know the main takeaways and what to do about them. More broadly, my challenge was to signal that City Club is no longer the stuffy, white-, male-centered institution it has been for more than a century.
